There were several listings for this book - I just chose this one.
Pretty fun book that focuses on the arrival and training of the early AEF. It displays a cheeky sense of humor in a lot of the descriptions that made me laugh several times. The combat sequences near the end mostly correspond to what is now known about them (the book was written before the end of the war, though published after), though at times I was trying to make sense of what I know versus what was written.
Not too overly patriotic or propagandistic (though it is both to some degree).
It was okay I give it about two and a half Stars it seems to me that was too much description before any battles were spoken about
This is a decent book and it is available for free! You can always learn something from it and delete it later if you like but how often do you get an opportunity like this elsewhere?
